FastReact has brought discipline to the production planning process and all operations. Through better direction, monitoring of WIP and quicker and easier comparison of plan vs. actual we have been able to reduce bottlenecks in feeding the sewing lines resulting in improved productivity. With the FastReact plan we have percolated the info right from planning through to packing and hence expect to increase business (sales turnover) as we are now able to quickly and accurately assess availability of capacity for repeat or additional orders.

We first saw FastReact at the IMB 2006 show and went ahead with implementation early in 2007. The existing ERP system was not dynamic enough to respond quickly to changes and handle line plans to the levels of accuracy required.

Though we had an established plan on spread sheets etc., it was not so user friendly and to manage the plan was extremely difficult leading to a lot of fire fighting. We were looking for a system to capture the critical events and to have something which will give the glimpse of the whole plan in one window. When we saw the demo of the FastReact system, one most prominent thing we noticed was that, unlike other (planning modules in) ERP systems, this is specifically made for production planning & scheduling (for the apparel industry). The planning board is very easy to read, understand and manage. With the FastReact we don’t need computer experts to do the scheduling, just someone who follows basic planning disciplines.
